Verne Naito (at left in photo) is from Portland, OR, and has ridden motorcycles for 40 years. He rides from Portland to San Francisco - almost 700 miles - in one day and frequently goes on 200-mile rides before lunchtime on Sundays. Verne has ridden at Portland International Raceway over 50 times on any one of his 4 1000cc superbikes and completes at least one Central Oregon tour every summer. He owns 14 motorcycles, including a Ducati, a BMW S1000RR, a Honda Valkyrie, and two dirt bikes. Verne is also a high-performance driving instructor for the Porsche Club.

Dan Batz (at right in photo) is a professional motorcycle rider/instructor, also from Portland, OR. He has taught for Team Oregon, the state's motorcycle safety program rated one of the nation's best, since 1999 and has earned this program's recognition as Instructor of the Year (2007) and Lifetime Achievement Award (2010). Dan has also helped lead a motorcycle tour in Europe (Italy, Switzerland, and Austria) and is a founding partner/instructor for Pacific Super Sport Riders (PSSR), the region's longest-running motorcycle track day group. In his role at PSSR, Dan teaches advanced track/racing techniques to riders looking to experience the full capabilities of their high-performance motorcycles in a safe, controlled environment at various tracks throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Portland International Raceway, Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley, and Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA.
